"Paperback, Like New, clean, tight, unmarked, no spine or cover creases. Shirley Wiitasalo was represented in Europe in 1978 in Nine Canadian Artists at the Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland and her paintings toured Japan in an exhibition entitled 20th Century Canadian Painting. The Art Gallery of Ontario presented a solo exhibition of her paintings in 1987. She was also represented in the Canadian Biennial of Contemporary Art at the National Gallery in 1989. In 1993 she exhibited with German photographer Candida Hofer at the Kunsthalle Bern in Switzerland and with the the Dutch painter Rene Daniels at the Art Gallery of York University. This exhibition also travelled to the Museum Haus Lange in Krefeld Germany . r nIn December 2000 the Power Plant Art Gallery presented a ten year survey exhibition of Wiitasalo's paintings. Wiitasalo received the Toronto Arts Award for Visual Art in 1993 and the Gershon Iskowitz Foundation 1998 Annual Prize. ID: mon0000041102"
